Hi there! I’m Laura Zawarski.
I’m a violinist, actor, And Voiceover artist.
I left home at fourteen in pursuit of learning and I haven't stopped since — first as a hungry teenage violinist at Phillips Exeter Academy, as a Russian major at Wellesley College, and as an actor-in-training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and the Moscow Art Theater School for summers and semesters in between.
Now I’ve taken my adventures to New York and have hit the ground running. I’ve composed, played, and performed all over the city, laid down tracks as an improvisational session violinist, and even went viral for a second over at Juliette and Ella’s Playdate (check the “News” section of my page for links to features about my work as a teacher and violinist on ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, The Daily Mail, Classic.FM, and The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda). I recently released a spooky little Halloween mini album called the LADY MAC MIX TAPE built on themes from two hours of music I composed and performed live each night for Dirty Knees’ Production of Lady Macbeth.
I’m a proud member of Actor’s Equity, and recently made my regional debut as Reza in “Once” at the wonderful Savannah Repertory Theater alongside Grammy nominee Stacie Orrico. And even though you may not have heard my name before, you may have heard my voice! Check out some of my work as a voiceover artist here.
If I’m not performing, you can find me in the recording studio, writing music, or teaching over at the magnificent NYC Violin Studio! I hope you’ll reach out and say hi — I'm always looking for new projects and friends!
